Strengthening community agency through participatory infographics
Client: EASA Croatia Date: July 2019
What if data became a tool for cohesion rather than division? This workshop explores how to subvert traditional statistical tools to create participatory indicators that strengthen collective agency. Facing the limitations of surveys that reduce the complexity of group dynamics and divide more than they unite, we develop methodologies that allow communities to navigate their internal tensions with lucidity. By rethinking infographics as supports for discussion and community self-reflection, this approach transforms numbers into instruments of political deliberation. Values are no longer conceived as the endpoint of a process but as the starting point of a collective conversation. These visual tools create debate spaces that expose differences while weaving lasting bonds, making measurement a political act of commons construction.
